It all started with a tomato.

For Maggie’s first birthday after they started dating, Marshall gave her a beautiful heirloom tomato—an unconventional but perfect gift. A few months later, Maggie painted that very tomato and gifted the painting to Marshall for his birthday. From the start, their relationship was filled with thoughtful gestures, creativity, and, of course, really good food.

One of the first meals Marshall ever made for Maggie was a BLT with big, juicy Jersey tomatoes—setting the tone for many more delicious meals to come. Over the years, their shared love for cooking, farmers' markets, and summer’s best tomatoes became a tradition, a little reminder of their story.

Tomatoes, much like love, start as something small and full of possibility. With the right care, they grow into something vibrant, nourishing, and deeply satisfying. They’re sweet, sometimes a little messy, but always worth it—just like the best kinds of love.

And so, the tomato has become a symbol of their relationship—one that started with a simple gift and has grown into a lifetime of love, adventure, and really great meals together.
